Edwardian-style heels

Old Edwardian shoes

I thrifted these champagne gold shoes a few weeks ago -- they date from the early 1990s, I think, but look oh-so-very early 20th century! Unfortunately, they are just a shade too small for me. (Wearing them for a modeling session, yes; standing and walking in them for hours on end, no.) If you have a love for historical clothing and are fortunate enough to be a size 7.5, check them out on eBay.

  1. Sadly, I'm not one of those fortunate ones. My shoe size is either 8 or 8.5; depending on the brand. But now I know what brand to look for when I'm out thrifting. ;) Those are adorable and there will be one lucky lady!!

  3. Cheri, we wear the same size! (Although I tend toward 8.5 all the time now since my pregnancy, but I do have some 8's from before then.)

Rebecca, they were a birthday gift years ago -- if you're interested in something similar, try Googling "crochet tights." :)

  7. Oh, these are lovely. I wonder what they would do for my size 9.5 feet? The style, I mean! The lacy hose are so romantic and do complete the vintage look. I've talked to my daughter about starting a resale business for fine shoes. It is amazing just what gorgeous things you can pick up.
